This theater is still working as a functioning theater. The box office is still open offering cultural and social events.
In 1926 the Pottstown, PA Theater Company chose Chambersburg as a place to expand. They theater was quickly built and opened to the public on February 3, 1927. It changed hands a few times and in the 1950's went through a major renovation. It was purchased by the Downtown of Chambersburg in 1996 where they upgraded much of the interior and began to operate the theater as a cultural center in Chambersburg.
